As the manufacturer of the traditional brand and as market leader in the Mozartkugel segment, Mirabell feels a genuine obligation to commemorate Mozart.
Particularly in 2006, Mozart’s Anniversary Year, Mirabell intensified its commitment in the sphere of sponsorship for the arts and supported several exciting cultural projects. These included Mirabell participating in the major Mozart exhibition held at the Albertina in Vienna.
As the main sponsor of Mozart’s birthplace, Mirabell supported a special project of the International Mozarteum Foundation: Robert Wilson redesigned the original apartment of the Mozart family in Salzburg and presented a new exhibition concept.
A further highlight, supported by Mirabell as the main sponsor, was “roll on Mozart”, a project that took place in selected Austrian cities in support of a good cause. The centerpiece of the project was made up of about 100 art globes with a diameter of 1.6 metres that were creatively designed by renowned artists, designers and advertising agencies. Mirabell took the patronage for five of these globes. In the spring of 2006, the art globes were exhibited in the city and province of Salzburg. Following this a selection of about 30 of these globes went on tour along the European Mozart pathways. Part of the revenue from “roll on Mozart” was used to finance the foundation of an institute for highly talented young musicians in Salzburg.
